Every single actor in this movie was, shall I say, perfect. Yes I shall. The Shawshank Redemption is a Great movie. I saw it many times. Saw this movie when I was younger, made me realize you can trust only people as genuine as you. Changed my life.

I feel the best part of this whole movie is the ending when red is walking on the beach towards Andy. I don"t know what it is, it just makes me feel really good inside that he finally made it. These ghost need a nerf. This is how I feel during job interviews, at least until he gets approved.

My first inspirational movie of my entire life. In 1947 Portland, Maine, banker Andy Dufresne is convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and sentenced to two consecutive life sentences at the fictional Shawshank State Penitentiary in rural Maine. Andy befriends prison contraband smuggler, Ellis "Red" Redding, an inmate serving a life sentence. Red procures a rock hammer and later a large poster of Rita Hayworth for Andy. Working in the prison laundry, Andy is regularly assaulted by the "bull queer" gang "the Sisters" and their leader, Bogs. In 1949, Andy overhears the brutal captain of the guards, Byron Hadley, complaining about being taxed on an inheritance and offers to help him legally shelter the money. After a vicious assault by the Sisters nearly kills Andy, Hadley beats Bogs severely. Bogs is sent to another prison and Andy is never attacked again. Warden Samuel Norton meets Andy and reassigns him to the prison library to assist elderly inmate Brooks Hatlen. Andy"s new job is a pretext for him to begin managing financial matters for the prison employees. As time passes, the Warden begins using Andy to handle matters for a variety of people including guards from other prisons and the warden himself. Andy begins writing weekly letters to the state government for funds to improve the decaying library.

OMG if he ran off with that, ohhhhhhh I"m gonna be so pissed. ??. So yeah this is probably the best movie ive ever seen in my life. Its brilliantly shot(roger deacons of course) magnificently scored, perfectly acted by the entire cast,heart warming,heart breaking and uplifting in equal measure. Its a classic for a damn good reason and I hope it gets a 4k release for its 25th aniversery. When Heywood goes from chanting with the other guys to telling fat ass to shut up, knowing what Hadley is going to do. Anyone notice what the young fella wrote down at the end of the interview? Pick up dry cleaning, bread, milk.
I just notice something after rewatching the lord of the flies all 3 movies, but Frodo just carries a ring and doesn"t do much besides be in danger and having the others to save doesn"t even bring nothing to the table, he only save smeagol and doesn"t even tell smeagol why he lured into a tap in the second movie and this one. sam is real hero, he saved Frodo more than onces. and you can see his passion for help Frodo, hes not getting paid or anything like that. he really wanted to help Frodo bc he really cares about him. now of days. you don"t seeing anybody on real life, people help to get something out of it. but when I was younger and living in the 90s. you could see a lot especially in children to be a good friend.

How he waits to start hitting the pipe with the claps in the theme had me laughing until I cried. Damn the friends bit killed me??????. I know forest gump is good but Ive always said Shawshank deserved the Oscar. The only guilty man in Shawshank. Is this the real movie? Confirm plz.
People know him nowadays as Mr. Krabs but Clancy Brown is hands down one of the best actors out there, really underrated. 40 years in prison... I don"t even want to imagine that. I can"t even imagine 40 hours. This is the Best movie i ever watched. Awesome movie. My favorite movie ever. <3. This scene is deeper than just surface entertainment. Morgan Freemans character illustrates how most people go through life conforming to socially accepted and directed standards until reaching the crossroads where you finally realize its your own acceptance that really matters.
One hell of a movie this one of the best. They don"t make these kind anymore.
